Disclaimers

Disclaimer #1

These simulations are not and could not be 100% accurate but they can give you a good indication of the likely results of FFS and help you decide what procedures will be of most benefit to you.

Disclaimer #2

I am NOT medically qualified and your surgeon may disagree with both the type and degree of any of the procedures I suggest.

Disclaimer #3

The adjustments are made on the assumption that you do not have any underlying medical problem that would limit the normal degree to which a feature can be adjusted.

Promises

Promise #1

I will strive at all times to give a realistic portrayal of the probable results. I never exaggerate or make an adjustment to a picture that might give you false hopes or unrealistic expectations. I tend to take a cautious approach and leave it your surgeon to suggest ways in which he can improve on the adjustments I have made.

Promise #2

I will respect your privacy at all times and without exception. Under no circumstances will your pictures be passed on to anyone else.

Promise #3

This site is completely independent and is not associated in any way with any FFS surgeon. For this reason I do not provide links on it to any of them or information about them. (Please see the links page for information on how to go about finding a reputable FFS surgeon) If someone asks me which surgeon they should go to I will try to advise them as best I can but it will to some extent be a personal opinion based on who I would choose for myself.

My Qualifications

I am a male to female transsexual and have had several FFS procedures myself

I have been fascinated by the structural differences between male and female faces for most of my life. I researched the subject first through an interest (not professional) in anthropology, archaeology and human anatomy and later through the thousands of resources available on the internet.

I am also an artist specialising in female portraiture and this combined with an expertise in the digital restoration of photographs enables me to perform these simulations with a reasonable degree of confidence.

I have been doing virtual FFS for 2 1/2 years and have performed many hundreds of virtual FFS procedures on all kinds of faces. I continue to refine my techniques and to improve my assessment skills.

I am a member of Yahoo’s FFS-Support Group which comprises nearly 2000 people who are at every stage of the FFS journey from pre to post-op and some of whom are experts in their own right. During the 2 years or so that I have been a member I have written a large number of assessments for members and I believe I have earned their respect as someone with a good eye for the subject.

Joining FFS-Support has also helped provide me with the necessary knowledge to make a confident assessment of the degree to which any FFS procedure can be performed. This knowledge comes from the detailed accounts of members including hundreds of conversations about the minutest details of the FFS procedures themselves and from having access to the large number of before and after photographs. My own research and my own personal consultations with surgeons, along with the many before and after pictures available on the internet have added to this knowledge.
